Soy lover's delight

This older Vita-Mix cookbook, circa 1999-2000, has hundreds of recipes suitable for the Vita-Mix, divided into various categories by tabs in a nice 3-ring binder. Instructions are included and recipes are fairly simple. All I've tried are delicious. Many recipes include tofu or soymilk, but regular milk or yogurt can be substituted if desired and the results are just as good.
My only objection to this cookbook is that it calls for some prepared products in some of the recipes such as dry soup mixes, a certain seasoning blend or a canned product. Since I bought the Vita-Mix to use only fresh whole foods, I don't add those and make my own modifications. I'm also not a big soy fan, but for those who are, there are plenty of opportunities to use it in these many recipes.
When you buy a new Vita-Mix you'll get the current cookbook and DVD as part of the package, but if you happen to find a used machine, it may not come with a cookbook and it's nice to have one geared specifically to the Vita-Mix if for no other reason than to get the hang of how to combine and process things in order to get the most value from it.
I've had a Vita-Mix for years and recently upgraded to the latest cookbook, which seems more geared to my personal preferences. Some of the same recipes are included in this version, while others have been added or modified. This cookbook covers all the areas--drinks, soups, batters, sauces, etc. and is useful if you're lucky enough to find a used machine.

Vitamix cookbook was a hit

The Vitamix is my favorite kitchen blender and I love finding more cookbooks for more recipes. This was a great surprise to find another one that has some different recipes for me to try out.

vita mix recipe book

I had bought a 3 1.2 hp raw power blender but it had no recipes or directions on how to use the various speeds. This gave me the directions I needed on how to use the pulse and when to use the high speed versus the low speeds. I really have not used the recipes since they did not follow the particular diet guidelines I am using at the time. Maybe in the future I will look at the recipes again and use them. I would give it five stars for giving me the directions that I needed, but fewer stars for the recipes.
